Ticket and Payment Type
Shenzhen urban metro implements the One-Person-One-Ticket policy. Tickets and payments used for travelling on the metro include: Single Journey Tickets, Multi-ride Tickets, One-Day Tickets, Children’s Tickets, Luggage Tickets, Shenzhen Tong Cards, Shenzhen Tong Discount Cards, China T-union Cards (issued by local or non-local banks), Shenzhen Metro Ticket QR Codes, ShenzhenTong QR Codes, Financial Integrated Circuit(IC) Cards, and other tickets and payments issued by operators at discretion.
Tickets and Cards
1.Single Journey Ticket: The tickets are issued to passengers for one-way travel, involved in issuing and check-in procedure, and collected when passengers exit the gate. Single Journey Ticket include Ordinary Class Single Journey Ticket (Green) and Business Class Single Journey Ticket (Yellow, for Business Class Carriage).
2.Multi-ride Ticket： the tickets are limited to one person per time during validity period.
4.Children’s Ticket：Children between 1.2-1.5 meters in height or aged between 6 -14 years old can purchase the paper-based dedicated tickets.
5.Luggage Ticket：Passengers carrying luggage weighted 20kg to 30kg or the sum of the length, width and height measured 1.4m to 1.6m, shall purchase a luggage ticket equivalent to the ordinary class carriage fare at the Customer Service Center.
6.Shenzhen Tong Card: refer to the stored valued public transport cards issued by Shenzhen Tong Company according to regulations.
7.Shenzhen Tong Preferential Card: refer to the preferential public transport cards issued by Shenzhen Tong Company according to regulations of the municipal government.
8.China T-union Card: As integrated traffic cards for rail transit in multiple
cities in China with “China T-union”logo, they are divided into two types: cards issued in Shenzhen and cards issued in other cities.
9.Shenzhen Metro Ticket QR Code：As a QR Code payment method with “Metro Ticket” function, it can be used on all rail transit lines in Shenzhen.
10. Shenzhen Tong QR Code：As a QR Code payment method with the “scan-and-ride” function.
11.Financial IC Card: refers to the chip cards that issued by banks and marked with Unionpayand Quickpass (or), including debit cards and credit cards; or mobile device carrying financial IC card information (such as mobile phone Pay and wearable device, etc.).
1.Single Journey Ticket: Passengers can purchase the tickets from the TVM(Ticket Vending Machine) by cash, Unionpay, Wechat Pay, Alipay and other third-party payments(Business Class Ticket is only issued by Dedicated Ticket Vending Machines in the station where Business Class Carriages are involved)
2.Multi-ride Ticket ：limited sales, sold on Wechat Official Account of Shenzhen Metro Way (szmcway).
4.Shenzhen Tong Card: currently sold at the Customer Service Center of the following stations:
Line 1: Qiaocheng East Station, Bao’an Center Station;
Line 2: Grand Theater Station, Civic Center Station, Wanxia Station;
Line 3: Laojie Station, Shuanglong Station, Henggang Station;
Line 5: Huangbeiling Station, Minzhi Station, Fanshen Station;
Line 7: Shawei Station, Shixia Station, Huanggang Checkpoint Station, Huaxin Station, Tianbei Station;
Line 9: Xiasha Station, Meijing Station, Renmin South Station;
Line 11: Futian Station, Chegongmiao Station, Nanshan Station, Airport Station, Shajing Station.
5.Shenzhen Tong Preferential Card: the cards are issued by Shenzhen Tong Company (including Student Card, Shenzhen Children Ride Card and etc.)
6.China T-union Card (issued by local banks):the cars can be purchased at Shenzhen Tong own counters or by "Shenzhen Tong" APP.China T-union Card (issued by non-local banks) selling ,recharging and card refund/replacement are not available in this city.
7.Shenzhen Metro Ticket QR Code: Passengers can register an account through a smart phone at Wechat Transit QR Code Mini Program, the official Shenzhen Metro App, MTR (SZ) live+ Mini Program or Shenzhen Metro E-Travel Mini Program and activate the account’s ticket function. After successful opening of the account, Passengers can scan the generated Transit QR Code to pass through the gate for riding.
8.Shenzhen Tong QR Code: Passengers can register an account through a smart phone at the official Shenzhen Tong App, Wechat Shenzhen Tong+ Mini Program, iShenzhen APP or other Internet platforms. After successful opening of the account, Passengers can scan the generated Shenzhen Tong QR Code to pass through the gate for riding.
9.Financial IC Card: When Passengers using a financial IC card to take the metro, Passengers must open its small amount password-free function at first, and ensure that the balance of the card is not less than 14 yuan.
10.Children’s Ticket & Luggage Ticket: The paper-based dedicated tickets that sold at the customer service center in the station.
